When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe). When you use MarginFlag, we store the client data, financial figures, and team information you enter. We also collect basic usage analytics (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and maintain the MarginFlag service, process payments, send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing), and improve our product. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your financial data for any purpose other than providing the service you signed up for.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your full credit card number. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted databases, secure authentication, and regular security reviews.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), and Google OAuth (optional sign-in). Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible for 30 days. You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@marginflag.com. We will process deletion requests within 14 business days.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may export your data at any time through the MarginFlag dashboard (available on Business plan). For data access or deletion requests, contact support@marginflag.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the MarginFlag dashboard. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
